It was so early in Viseu de Sus steam locomotives depot that even the roosters are dreaming in their sleep.

With all these mocanita steam locomotive is ready and waiting for the trip to come. It was cleaned, oiled, got some coal and plenty of wood. Before leaving the water level will be at the full mark. The other locomotives are closed in the depot. The big wood doors are locked well and all the gaps are covered so the cold will stay out.It is so cold that any drop of water will freeze immediately. In the depot there is a wood stove working day and night so the other steam locomotives are worm although they are ”cold” for today.

Today it will take a trip to Comanu with a production train. This means that it will depart at 5 o’clock and will pull its tender, a passenger carriage and at least twenty empty wagons. It will be a hard day with slippery track and maybe some fog on the way…
